ravenWhen victimized by humiliating psychological attacks and involuntary testing with covert torture weapons for months and even years, we may begin to doubt our self-worth. That is not surprising. The corrosion of self-esteem is a key intent of the injustices we suffer. Some who torment us may even express the desire that we commit suicide. They place no value on our lives.

However, there is One who sees our worth and values us. Jehovah God is not swayed by the opinions of cruel, misguided men. His willingness to sacrifice the life of his precious son in our behalf is a powerful evidence of how he feels about us individually. Indeed, he views as precious all those who draw close to him. Jesus Christ, when on the earth, revealed the depth of God’s feelings by means of a heartwarming illustration:

“Ravens neither sow seed nor reap, and they have neither barn nor storehouse, and yet God feeds them. Of how much more worth are you than birds?” (Luke 12:24) In the Jewish culture of that day, ravens were considered the most unclean and undesirable of birds. As a result, Jesus’ audience saw no value in these scavengers either as food or pets. Yet, Jesus choose that most hated species of birds to make his point. God took care of undesired creatures that no one else had any concern for. If Jehovah cares for these tiny birds, how much more will he care for humans who love and worship him! Yes, even though our fellowmen may see little or no value in us, we can take great comfort in knowing how God feels about us individually.

In light of Jesus’ words, we need not feel that we are too unworthy to be noticed, valued and cared for by our loving Creator. In fact, he can see good in us that we cannot see in ourselves. It is truly beneficial to draw close to him. In this way we can enjoy the comfort and peace of mind that comes from having a loving relationship with Our Creator. He highly values those who draw close to him.

He Can Be Trusted
A society whose institutions cannot be trusted dehumanizes the people it serves. Experiments conducted by Michael Kosfeld, a professor of business administration at Frankfurt University in Germany, led him to the conclusion that trust is “a biologically-based part of human nature.” Kosfeld discovered that when there is interaction between two people, the human brain releases oxytocin, a hormone that stimulates trust. “It is, in fact, one of the distinguishing features of the human species,” Kosfeld states. “When trust is absent, we are, in a sense, dehumanized.”

We can hardly trust any governmental institution that covertly makes us the subject of long-term involuntary psychological and torture weapons testing. When such trust is breached we may wonder where to turn. Can we trust our Heavenly Father? Joshua, a leader in ancient Israel, said of God: “Not a promise failed out of all the good promise that Jehovah had made . . . It all came true.” (Joshua 21:45) Yes, God can be trusted.

One of God’s trustworthy promises is recorded at 2 Peter 3:13, which states: “There are new heavens and a new earth that we are awaiting according to his promise, and in these righteousness is to dwell.” God purposes to rid the earth of all who would exploit their fellowman. Putting our complete confidence in the trustworthy God who views us as precious can help us to cope with any struggle now, while looking to the future when all injustices will be a thing of the past. Jehovah’s Witnesses are happy to help you learn more about our loving God and his purposes.

The Washington Post special report “Top Secret In America” has revealed the enormous growth in intelligence agencies and personnel working in the United States since 9/11. Over 850,000 personnel and private contractors have top secret security clearance, and literally thousands of agencies or private contracting firms have been created or reorganized in that time as well. I decided to use these facts as a talking point when approaching a number of young people employed in the surveillance and “gangstalking” I experience on a daily basis. Here is a typical conversation:

“Can I speak to you for a moment young man? May I ask, have you ever heard the word “Kristallnacht?” It is a German word that when translated means “Crystal Night.”

Typically the young person has no clue what I am talking about. So I usually continue:

“That word describes one of the greatest injustices in modern history. In one night, under the Nazi regime. thousands of young people roamed through Jewish neighborhoods in Germany destroying Jewish businesses and homes, and killing Jews. It was called Crystal Night because of the amount of broken glass left in the streets from the destruction. Can you guess what motivated young people about your age, and much like yourself, to do something so shocking and unlawful?”

Usually at this point I’ve got the young person’s attention. However, they usually cannot even guess why this incident occurred. They are also unaware of its significance as a major event in recent history. I continue:

“It was because they were convinced that Jews should be crushed like bugs by vicious political propaganda. They were convinced by their own government that these people should be hated and destroyed as if they were insignificant bugs. Young man, do you think that something like that could ever happen again?”

That statement usually has a visceral impact on them. Why? Because the phrase “crush like a bug” is a very common expression used by these “gangstalkers” in my area. That is the intent behind their harassment. Therefore, by making use of their colloquialism, the young men I’m speaking to instantly make a mental connection between the cruel events of “Kristallnacht” and their own activities. At this point most become visibly uncomfortable, some simply start to walk away.

“There is an article in the Washington Post that discusses the tremendous growth in covert activity involving young people much like yourself in our own country. I ask to you to please go online and read it. It reveals that over 850,000 people are used in this country for covert activity. It is vital that you read that article. However, it is also vitally important to understand the historical significance of the activities you participate in. Recent history offers powerful lessons in this regard that you should be aware of. I share this information with you out of concern. Young people like yourself are the most gullible and manipulated group in this or any country. I want you to be well informed so that the decisions you make in life are morally sound and based on a clear understanding of all the issues involved. Do you understand what I am telling you?”

Most of the young people are respectful and get the point. We usually end on a respectful note. A few laugh it off. However, by the time I walk away, I have given them food for thought. I am not interested in the politics of this issue. I simply want young people to understand the morality of what they do, and to act in a way that protects the long-term interests of themselves and their fellowman. I also teach them something about myself in the process of conversing. I am not their enemy, nor am I the faceless “bug” they have been trained to view as worthless.

I cannot be a force for good in the lives of others if I mirror the hatred, cruelty and deception that attend the lives of so many today. I can continue to respond with unfailing strength and insight because Jehovah is my helper.

As I write this, I am sitting in the New York Public Library on 42nd Street in New York City (the one with the twin stone lions), one of my favorite places to work. Less than an hour ago, I witnessed an incident on the commuter train I take into Manhattan (Path train, Newark to Penn Station, New York). I saw two crimes committed on that train. The first crime was a willful, premeditated psychological attack. The second, was an angered response by the target of that psychological aggression.

The train was waiting in the station at Newark Penn Station. As I read my newspaper, I saw a young man, seated to my right, at the far end of the train car, suddenly stand up, and swiftly kick the face of the man sitting directly in front of him. He then quickly exited the train. I will not repeat what he said as he attacked this young man. However, his words, put in the context of that moment, gave me an extraordinary insight into what had just occurred. That man had been provoked, angered by one of the small, but unrelenting silent psychological triggers used by individuals colloquially termed “gangstalkers.” Gangstalkers are individuals employed by covert agencies to provide a constant stream of provocative and humiliating psychological assaults against a targeted individual.  The ‘gangstalker’ held his hand to his mouth as blood started to run from his busted lip. He held his cell phone to his ear, and was suddenly accompanied by two other well dressed individuals. From my long term experience as a target of psychological attacks, I sensed that these were Federal agents. No doubt, they were on this train as both observers and to provide direction for this now injured young man trained to engage in provocative silent psychological taunts.

Officers in the station were quickly contacted and all of the passengers, including myself, were moved to another car in the train. Anyone who has endured long-term psychological warfare and related covert torture can no doubt fill in the missing pieces here. Most likely, the young man provoked to respond violently here had been a target of repeated psychological attacks for some time. Federal Agents, it seems, have found a steady supply of cheap labor willing to do the work of taunting others relentlessly for them. This injured young gangstalker appeared to be a recent immigrant from a Central American country. I truly felt sorry for both him, and the fellow who attacked him. They were both victims of manipulation by the covert agencies developing these psychological programs.

Other ‘gangstalkers” and agents on the train were keeping a close, nervous eye on me. I am also a long term target of covert psychological torture. A number of them, all with cellphones and headphones, filled my train car. They had nothing to fear from me. In the twelve years I have been targeted (psychological attacks and covert directed energy weapons torture) I have not responded with a single act of violence be it verbal or physical. “I am not a part of your sordid world,” I thought to myself. “I refuse to think or act like you in any way. I soundly reject what you stand for and the senseless moral ground you’ve created for yourself.” I began to think of Bible principles that would strengthen my resolve to reject this empty cycle of violence just witnessed. In a way, seeing this incident has been beneficial for me. It has given me a powerful incentive to reject fully the violent thinking and behavior that befouls their world.

Ironically, as I continued to read my newspaper on the train, I discovered an article that fit this experience. Today’s paper (The New York Times, International, June 30, 2010) has an article entitled “France Makes ‘Psychological Violence’ a Crime” The new French law defines mental violence as “repeated acts which could be constituted by words or other machinations, to degrade one’s quality of life and cause a change to one’s mental or physical state.” Prime Minister Francois Fillon said the draft law would allow the authorities to deal with “the most insidious situations, which don’t leave a mark to the naked eye but can mutilate the victim’s inner self.”

For those currently targeted by psychological violence intended to “mutilate the inner self.” please keep this in mind: Two crimes were committed on that train, but only one criminal will be punished. The life of that young man who responded violently to psychological abuse has been ruined. He is the only one of the two guilty parties that will pay a heavy penalty for his crime. “It is better to be a live dog than a dead lion . . .” says a wise Bible Proverb. Please, do not become your own worst enemy by allowing anger or bitterness to become your master. “Return evil for evil to no one.” -Romans 12:17.  Refuse to be lured by the cycle of violence and keep living.

I also know that many of the young people who willingly sign-up to participate in psychological violence think that life is like an action movie where the star never gets hurt. Please think again. As today’s event so clearly shows, you are human collateral in the eyes of your handlers, body armor for cruel taskmasters in an evil world, nothing more.

I was on a bus, in suit and tie, coming home from the “Remain Close to Jehovah” convention of Jehovah’s Witnesses yesterday. One of my covert harassers (gang stalkers) sitting in the seat in front of me, began playing a song rather loudly on his cell phone. The lyrics of the song contained “trigger words” that have been used before by the stalkers. The bus driver stopped the bus, made an announcement that there is no radio playing on the bus and asked for it to be turned off. The request was ignored, At the next stop the bus driver repeats his request. The fellow playing the radio, (who could be perfectly typecast as a gang member in any movie) starts loudly cursing and berating the bus driver. However, he dropped a clue in his verbal tirade that blew his cover. “Don’t tell me to turn off my cellphone, just drive the bus.” You can’t tell me to turn of my phone. I got a job to do too. You do your job and I’ll do mine!” (Of course, I’ve cleaned up his language.) I was praying within myself that the bus driver would drop the issue because this harasser was really angry (vein bulging in the side of the neck angry!) and was quite likely to escalate the argument into an altercation if the bus driver pushed the issue. Thankfully, the bus driver was smart enough to stop talking to this man. I got off the bus at my stop, leaving the harasser behind.

This harasser-covert surveillance person was clearly someone with a violent past. However, he is not the first person of his type I have seen who revealed that this surveillance/harassment is a job for them. It appears that they are employed by some sort of “make-work” program (I believe that here in Newark it is colloquially termed Pest Control) that hires recently released criminals for the street-level psychological attacks and surveillance employed against victims like myself. This group, as one would expect, contains individuals whose violent tendencies lie just below the surface, and can be easily uncovered without much provocation. This is not the first time I’ve seen that violent streak flare up.

As I listened to this exchange on the bus, it brought to mind the stories I have read in the past about the Tonton Macoutes, a militia force used by Haitian Dictator “Papa Doc” Duvalier to violently repress opposition in Haiti. The Tonton were fashioned after the Fascist Blackshirts of Italy. The street level “gang-stalkers” I observe on a daily basis are also a “militia” in that they provide a form of psychological violence. At what point will they pass from surveillance and psychological attacks into physical brutality?

What a bizarre world we have become! One thing is for certain. We face an immediate future that will no doubt be more lawless and violent. The truth of the Bible’s statement that “. . . the whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one . . .” (John 5:19) becomes more evident each passing day. However, it is my determination to follow the example of Jesus Christ, and to “love my enemies” and “pray for those persecuting me.” I make a daily effort to speak about the Bible’s hope for the future to all sorts of people, including those who participate in my harassment. Doing good to others is the best way for me to resist the corrosive effect my environment would otherwise have on my personality.

Addendum: To any of my “Brothers and Sisters” in the Christian Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses:

Jehovah is providing spiritual “food at the proper time” to meet our needs and concerns. I am sure you will find the publication released on the Saturday Program of the “Remain Close to Jehovah” Convention an extraordinary source of comfort and strength, helping us to cope with our distresses. Be sure to get your copy. I know you will be as deeply grateful for this evidence of Jehovah’s tender compassion for us as I have been.

“Do not let yourself be conquered by the evil, but keep conquering the evil with the good.”—Romans 12:21.

I often commute to work during off-peak hours, when trains are lightly traveled. It is quite common for my train car (New Jersey Path train from Newark to Journal Square) to be filled what are colloquially termed “gang stalkers.” These are individuals providing covert psychological attacks and surveillance in the campaign of harassment I have endured for more than 12 years. Today was one of those days when an unanticipated act of provocation could have led to an angry outburst. I will not go into the details of the incident. Like so many I have endured, it was designed to humiliate, and provoke an angered response on my part. Instead, I swallowed the humiliation of the moment, refused to allow anger to rise within me, and walked away. Who knows what the consequences would have been had I responded in the heat of anger! Rather than do the “macho” thing, I followed the counsel of my exemplar, Jesus Christ. I conquered.

Refusing to become angry meant keeping the situation, and myself under control. “. . . Because a live dog is better off than a dead lion . . .”Ecclesiastes 9:4 That proverb means that calmly enduring any momentary humiliation is far better than suffering the consequences of a lost temper. Truthfully, if we are caught off guard, we do have the tendency to act on impulse. However, if we learn to walk away from provocation in small events that occur from day to day, it will be our impulse to do so when such an unexpected encounter tests us.

I rejoiced after that incident, knowing that applying practical wisdom had given me the victory. I had also maintained a clean conscience, and acted in a way that pleases my Heavenly Father. Rather than fight, I conquered. I cannot take credit for this wise maneuver. After all, it would be the natural inclination of anyone harassed and tortured for twelve years to strike back. However, my working hard to cultivate the fine qualities taught in the scriptures has been a proven source of protection. You can enjoy the same benefits, by applying the Bible’s matchless counsel to “Return evil for evil to no one. Provide fine things in the sight of all men. If possible, as far as it depends upon YOU, be peaceable with all men. Romans 12:17

During the Nuremberg trials, as Allied Forces placed officers of the Nazi Regime on trial for Crimes Against Humanity, a pattern of involuntary testing with nuclear radiation that would come to involve tens of thousands of unwitting victims was being conducted in the United States. This would include poor pregnant white women given radioactive cocktails under the guise of free prenatal care, orphaned children fed radioactive material in their breakfast cereal while housed in government institutions, and numerous hospital patients covertly injected with toxic doses of radiative material and left to die. The famed Tuskegee Experiment where hundreds of poor black sharecroppers were denied treatment for syphilis for years to provide corpses for medical research was conducted with the approval of the Surgeon General. This is just a sample of the abuses that can be directly attributed to human governments. This does not surprise students of the scriptures, wherein the inevitable result of human self-government is made clear: “Man has dominated man to his injury,” -Ecclesiastes 8:9

Typically it has been our poor, defenseless and minorities that have suffered the greatest abuse at the hands of government. Well, bolstered by the confidence that they can seemingly get away with anything, we are now witnessing Crimes Against Humanity that touch those who have typically felt privileged and secure.

Truthfully, I appreciate being able to see this unvarnished truth about human leadership with my own eyes. Granted, it is tragic and at times incomprehensible. But this is what it is. As we become more secular and materialistic in our viewpoint, it will only get worse. The restraint that even a flawed reliance on Bible principles exerted on government and morality (our so-called Judeo-Christain heritage) has dissipated. The selfish and cruel precepts of Evolutionary Psychology have given license to many of the modern atrocities against of human dignity and value.

To have “faith” literally means to believe that someone will keep his promises. It is an expression of confidence in someone’s will and capacity to fulfill his (or her) promises. Sadly. human leadership has repeatedly demonstrated that it often lacks the will and ability to keep the noble and soaring promises it so often makes. Therefore, putting “faith” in human leadership will always lead to disappointment. For good reason, then, the inspired Scriptures advise us: “Do not put your trust in nobles (human leaders), nor in the son of earthling man, to whom no salvation belongs.” - Psalm 146:3

What is the solution? Jesus Christ, as King of God’s Kingdom, has been granted the ability and the right to exercise power universally. “And Jesus approached and spoke to them, saying: “All authority has been given me in heaven and on the earth.” -Matthew 28:18 The powerful works Jesus performed on earth were foregleams of even grander blessings to come under his rule as a perfect and trustworthy King. The depth of compassion and genuine justice he exercised toward the oppressed, the poor and despised are the qualities of a real leader. He has both the will and capacity to provide a permanent solution to the suffering caused by human rulership, and will soon do so.

“And in the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom (government) that will never be brought to ruin. And the kingdom itself will not be passed on to any other people. It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms (all human rulership), and it itself will stand to times indefinite.” -Daniel 2:44

Jehovah’s Witnesses have consistently taught these comforting truths from God’s Word the Bible, while avoiding any involvement in the politics of any government. They have also, as a worldwide organization, demonstrated genuine love that transcends national, racial, and social boundaries. I am deeply grateful for the consistent Bible education they have provided and the certain, Bible-based hope for the future they have courageously shared. They can help you to find great comfort and strength in the Bible’s appealing solutions as well.

It was about seven years into the physical and psychological abuse I have suffered at the hands of covert agencies (gang stalking and through-the-wall microwave and acoustic based torture). I was living in Albuquerque, New Mexico at the time.  One Sunday, I attended a meeting that provided a wellspring of encouragement, deepening my determination to bear up under injustice without wavering. I was at the Sunday meeting of the local congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses, when it was announced that it was being cut short to allow for a special interview. My ears lit up when it was announced who would be our special guest speaker. She was an 83-year-old Chinese woman, perhaps no more than 5 feet tall, whose life story I knew very well. Her name was Nancy Yuen. Why was she so significant? She had endured more than 20 years in Communist Chinese prisons and work camps because she refused to renounce her Christian faith. The Chinese authorities tried every tactic imaginable to break her faith . . . and failed. In fact, many of the tactics employed by covert agents on me were pioneered by the Communist Chinese as they perfected brainwashing techniques in their prisons. Now, I was to hear her speak and meet her. What a treat!

When you suffer a covert, long-term injustice that few can understand or find hard to believe, it imposes a form of psychological isolation. You cannot share your experiences with everyone. And when you do, you can sense either the fear they have or the disbelief. However, Nancy Yuen had endured for twenty years a plight far worse than what I am undergoing. Her life story and example of unbreakable integrity is well known and admired by most Jehovah’s Witnesses. After being released by Chinese authorities, she had settled in San Francisco with her family.

As she sat at the podium, I took a good look at her. She was a petite woman, surprisingly youthful and spry for her age. Sharply dressed, she had an easy smile that punctuated her vivid conversation. Her presence and physical bearing spoke volumes. How would you expect someone to look who had been denied access to her husband and children for twenty years, most spent in solitary confinement, while undergoing repeated interrogations? Haggard, downcast, worn out? Not Nancy Yuen! She looked 63 instead of 83 and was a ball of energy. That in itself was a powerful encouragement. It taught me that God can sustain us through the most terrible ordeals and preserve us quite well in the process.

I listened carefully as she told her story before the congregation. I was close to tears, repeatedly thanking Jehovah in silent prayer for having this opportunity. Nancy Yuen did not need to know me or my trials personally. Just her being there provided me with encouragement that could not have come at a better time. I could now see a living example of someone who shared my plight and know that her success in overcoming adversity would be mine as well.

I believe that Jehovah God himself had a hand in providing this needed form of strength and encouragement. I later discovered that she had come to Albuquerque as a scheduled guest for another congregation the preceding Saturday. Because her Sunday was free, her associate contacted our congregation, chosen at random to see if we would like her to be on the program. Why was my congregation chosen from the more than twenty in Albuquerque? I am convinced that God himself directed that decision so that I could experience needed emotional refreshment and strengthening. I felt that this meeting was a reflection of the tender care and loving attention God gives to his servants on earth. “To this one, then, I shall look, to the one afflicted and contrite in spirit and trembling at my word.” -Isaiah 66:2

To be continued . . .

There is no question regarding the devastating emotional effects of injustice in the form of long term psychological attacks that include gang stalking and covert physical torture. It is especially hurtful when neighbors, relatives, or former friends begin to participate in these attacks. The emotional wounds inflicted are deep and often enduring. The Bible’s counsel to “continue forgiving one another freely” (Colossians 3:13) may be very difficult to apply in this case. After all, the offenders have shown no remorse, and have not offered an apology. What basis do we have to offer forgiveness? What sort of forgiveness can and should be given? How can we benefit if we do?

It is true that those who treat others in an extremely unjust way cannot escape judgement from God. And, we have the right to pursue any legal avenues available for seeking redress.  However, if you have suffered an unresolved  injustice, please consider this: Holding on to anger and resentment can be very harmful to you personally. Waiting for an admission or apology that never comes, we may only get more and more upset. Being obsessed with the injustice may keep the anger seething within us, with devastating effects on our emotional and physical health. In effect, we allow the one who hurt us to continue hurting us!

Some who value the Bible’s guidance have discovered that even in cases of extreme injustice they were able, in time, to make a decision to forgive in the sense of no longer harboring resentment. While they may not excuse the wrongdoing, they refused to be consumed with anger. “Let anger alone and leave rage.” (Psalm 37:8) This is often a wise decision. It gives us a measure of relief and we are able to get on with our lives. The ability to resolve anger within ourselves protects us mentally, emotionally and physically. It allows us to focus our precious and limited resources on the things that really matter in life.

The practical benefits of such forgiveness can be seen in the life of Eva Kor, a survivor of Auschwitz Nazi Deadly Lab Experiments. 76 year old Kor says she has forgiven Josef Mengele, the Nazi doctor who conducted experiments on her and her twin sister, Miriam, at the Auschwitz concentration camp.

“Here I am, this little guinea pig from Auschwitz, and I have the power to forgive Josef Mengele! And he can’t do anything about it,” the diminutive, energetic woman who will turn 76 said during a recent visit to Auschwitz. “I stopped being a victim, and that makes me a very powerful person.” Indeed, for survivor Eva Kor, forgiveness is freedom!

Interestingly, some have disagreed with Kor’s forgiveness, feeling that it is improper for her to forgive such an “abhorrent monster.” However, note Kor’s response: “If they like being victims, it’s their choice,” Kor said. “I don’t want to be a victim ever again.” Yes Eva Kor has freed herself of slavery to hurt and bitterness as a result of her forgiving spirit. No doubt, that ‘freedom’ contributes to the vigorous and outgoing spirit she displays at the age of 76!

Here is a news story on organized gang-stalking, harassment, break-in and rape that was reported by KENS-5 News in San Antonio, Texas. I will offer no opinion on this story. I simply invite you to view it and draw your own conclusions. You can read the online account of this news report on the KENS-5 San Antonio website.

On a day by day basis, I am targeted with carefully crafted false logic designed to subvert sound thinking. Those who participate in the psychological warfare waged against me seek to pervert my principles and viewpoints with warped logic.  It is a weapon designed to destroy my self-esteem and to create doubt.

However, as a Christian, my views are based upon the sound principles found in God’s Word the Bible. I cling to those principles as the only source of trusted reasoning in a world that uses logic as a way to corrupt and enslave unsuspecting minds. When ideas and suggestions I receive do not stand up to the scrutiny of Bible standards, I reject them.

Here are two lines of faulty logic I have recently examined in the light of Bible principles:

“If so many people hate you, you must be a really bad person.”

Is this sound logic? Is the fact that I appear to be despised by many proof that I am a bad person? Consider this: Jesus Christ was despised by most of the high ranking religious leaders of his day. His death was a result of a gross injustice by those same leaders. Yet, he was the most innocent, and greatest of men who ever walked the earth. Would you say that the large number of people who hated him was proof that he was a bad person? Certainly not! Knowing this, it would be foolish of me to allow my self-esteem to be corrupted by any malicious crafty logic designed to destroy my self-esteem or to cause self-doubt.

Here is another question I examined using the power of reason:

Would I feel more secure if I participated in the harassment and psychological abuse of others?

Suppose I had the opportunity to volunteer in community based programs engaged in psychological harassment of those deemed “undesirable.” Many join in these practices motivated by a normal concern for security. Would my participation in such activities enhance or destroy my sense of security?

Use your power of reason: Does the man who makes enemies among his own neighbors feel more secure than the man who strives for peaceful relations with all? “An answer, when mild, turns away rage, but a word causing pain makes anger to come up.”Proverbs 15:1. Will “causing pain” to some of my neighbors or workmates give me a greater feeling of security or rob me of peace of mind? Using my power of reason helps me to see the right answer to this question. May it help you to do the same.

How beneficial the Bible’s wise counsel is in this regard: “As far as it depends upon you, be peaceable to all persons.Romans 12:17.  Those who are peacemakers, actively pursuing good relations with all, do not spend their days “looking over their shoulder,” in fear of enemies they have made. Peaceful relations with others contributes greatly to our own peace of mind and sense of security. Therefore, if you become the victim of injustice that includes psychological abuse, please, use your power of reason and follow this superb advice from God’s Word. Do not retaliate in word or deed. Reject any temptation to “return evil for evil . . .” —Romans 12:17.

Our God-given power of reason is a wonderful aid in responding wisely to all forms of adversity.
