ravenWhen victimized by humiliating psychological attacks and involuntary testing with covert torture weapons for months and even years, we may begin to doubt our self-worth. That is not surprising. The corrosion of self-esteem is a key intent of the injustices we suffer. Some who torment us may even express the desire that we commit suicide. They place no value on our lives.

However, there is One who sees our worth and values us. Jehovah God is not swayed by the opinions of cruel, misguided men. His willingness to give the life of his precious son in our behalf is a powerful evidence of how he feels about us individually. Indeed, he views as precious all those who draw close to him. Jesus Christ, when on the earth, revealed the depth of God’s feelings by means of a heartwarming illustration:

“Ravens neither sow seed nor reap, and they have neither barn nor storehouse, and yet God feeds them. Of how much more worth are you than birds?” (Luke 12:24) In the Jewish culture of that day, ravens were considered the most unclean and undesirable of birds. As a result, Jesus’ audience saw no value in these scavengers either as food or pets. Yet, Jesus choose that most hated species of birds to make his point. God took care of undesired creatures that no one else had any concern for. If Jehovah cares for these tiny birds, how much more will he care for humans who love and worship him! Yes, even though our fellowmen may see little or no value in us, we can take great comfort in knowing how God feels about us individually.

In light of Jesus’ words, we need not feel that we are too unworthy to be noticed, valued and cared for by our loving Creator. In fact, he can see good in us that we cannot see in ourselves. It is truly beneficial to draw close to him. In this way we can enjoy the comfort and peace of mind that comes from having a loving relationship with Our Creator. He highly values those who draw close to him.

He Can Be Trusted
A society whose institutions cannot be trusted dehumanizes the people it serves. Experiments conducted by Michael Kosfeld, a professor of business administration at Frankfurt University in Germany, led him to the conclusion that trust is “a biologically-based part of human nature.” Kosfeld discovered that when there is interaction between two people, the human brain releases oxytocin, a hormone that stimulates trust. “It is, in fact, one of the distinguishing features of the human species,” Kosfeld states. “When trust is absent, we are, in a sense, dehumanized.”

We can hardly trust any governmental institution that covertly makes us the subject of long-term involuntary psychological and torture weapons testing. When such trust is breached we may wonder where to turn. Can we trust our Heavenly Father? Joshua, a leader in ancient Israel, said of God: “Not a promise failed out of all the good promise that Jehovah had made . . . It all came true.” (Joshua 21:45) Yes, God can be trusted.

One of God’s trustworthy promises is recorded at 2 Peter 3:13, which states: “There are new heavens and a new earth that we are awaiting according to his promise, and in these righteousness is to dwell.” God purposes to rid the earth of all who would exploit their fellowman. Putting our complete confidence in the trustworthy God who views us as precious can help us to cope with any struggle now, while looking to the future when all injustices will be a thing of the past. Jehovah’s Witnesses are happy to help you learn more about our loving God and his purposes.

The Washington Post special report “Top Secret In America” has revealed the enormous growth in intelligence agencies and personnel working in the United States since 9/11. Over 850,000 personnel and private contractors have top secret security clearance, and literally thousands of agencies or private contracting firms have been created or reorganized in that time as well. I decided to use these facts as a talking point when approaching a number of young people employed in the surveillance and “gangstalking” I experience on a daily basis. Here is a typical conversation:

“Can I speak to you for a moment young man? May I ask, have you ever heard the word “Kristallnacht?” It is a German word that when translated means “Crystal Night.”

Typically the young person has no clue what I am talking about. So I usually continue:

“That word describes one of the greatest injustices in modern history. In one night, under the Nazi regime. thousands of young people roamed through Jewish neighborhoods in Germany destroying Jewish businesses and homes, and killing Jews. It was called Crystal Night because of the amount of broken glass left in the streets from the destruction. Can you guess what motivated young people about your age, and much like yourself, to do something so shocking and unlawful?”

Usually at this point I’ve got the young person’s attention. However, they usually cannot even guess why this incident occurred. They are also unaware of its significance as a major event in recent history. I continue:

“It was because they were convinced that Jews should be crushed like bugs by vicious political propaganda. They were convinced by their own government that these people should be hated and destroyed as if they were insignificant bugs. Young man, do you think that something like that could ever happen again?”

That statement usually has a visceral impact on them. Why? Because the phrase “crush like a bug” is a very common expression used by these “gangstalkers” in my area. That is the intent behind their harassment. Therefore, by making use of their colloquialism, the young men I’m speaking to instantly make a mental connection between the cruel events of “Kristallnacht” and their own activities. At this point most become visibly uncomfortable, some simply start to walk away.

“There is an article in the Washington Post that discusses the tremendous growth in covert activity involving young people much like yourself in our own country. I ask to you to please go online and read it. It reveals that over 850,000 people are used in this country for covert activity. It is vital that you read that article. However, it is also vitally important to understand the historical significance of the activities you participate in. Recent history offers powerful lessons in this regard that you should be aware of. I share this information with you out of concern. Young people like yourself are the most gullible and manipulated group in this or any country. I want you to be well informed so that the decisions you make in life are morally sound and based on a clear understanding of all the issues involved. Do you understand what I am telling you?”

Most of the young people are respectful and get the point. We usually end on a respectful note. A few laugh it off. However, by the time I walk away, I have given them food for thought. I am not interested in the politics of this issue. I simply want young people to understand the morality of what they do, and to act in a way that protects the long-term interests of themselves and their fellowman. I also teach them something about myself in the process of conversing. I am not their enemy, nor am I the faceless “bug” they have been trained to view as worthless.

I cannot be a force for good in the lives of others if I mirror the hatred, cruelty and deception that attend the lives of so many today. I can continue to respond with unfailing strength and insight because Jehovah is my helper.
